Nifty, Sensex under pressure – Tuesday closing report
The major indices crashed today after reacting to the crash in the prices of WTI crude oil futures. On the NSE, there were 495 advances, 1,311 declines and 309 unchanged.

Dilip Buildcon has announced resumption of construction activities and also resume user fee collection (tolling) operations by the company's subsidiary SPVs.
 
Tata Elxsi announced its results for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2020. Revenue from operations were Rs. 438.89 crore; growth of 3.6% QoQ, 8.3% YoY. The embedded product design division grew by 4.1% QoQ, 10.6% YoY and industrial design & visualisation grew by 7.60% QoQ, 5.40% YoY. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs16.50 per share.
 
Linde India reported 9.73% year-on-year rise in net profits for the quarter ended 31 March 2020 to Rs39.03 crore from Rs35.57 crore. Revenues fell 11.71% YoY in the same period to Rs393.79 crore.
 
Godawari Power and Ispat had earlier announced the resumption of operations in 0.6 million ton pellet plant in Raipur and 0.69 million ton pellet plant of subsidiary Ardent Steel. The company is restarting manufacturing activities in its 1.5 million MTPA iron ore pellet plant and resume partial operation of its power generation capacities situated at Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur.
 
PNC Infratech announced resumption of construction activities at project sites including EPC and HAM projects, to the extent possible. The company also announced resumption of user fee collection (tolling) operations by its subsidiary SPVs.
 
Larsen & Toubro issued and allotted 12,500 7.20% unsecured NCDs of Rs. 10 lakh each aggregating to Rs. 1,250 crore which will mature on April 20, 2023.
 
Infosys reported 6.06% year-on-year rise in net profits to Rs4,321 crore for the quarter ended 31 March 2020. Revenues grew 7.55% to Rs23,881 crore in the same period.
 
ICICI Bank said that it has USD 100 million exposure to the Singapore-based troubled oil trader Hin Leong Trading Pte Ltd (HLT) and said it is taking steps to protect its interest.
 
Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC raised its stake in the Bandhan Bank to 4.49% through its affiliate Caladium Investment PTE. It accumulated the shares through secondary market operations.

    The major indices were choppy today and managed to close flat. On the NSE, there were 1,150 advances, 683 declines and 292 unchanged. The trends of the major indices in the course of Monday’s trading are given in the table below:
     
     
    The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached 124 immovable properties valued at Rs 175.29 crore of Prakash Vanijya Pvt Ltd and others for defrauding Central Bank of India to the tune of nearly Rs 235 crore.
     
    Shriram Transport Finance plans to issue redeemable non-convertible debentures/ subordinated debentures on private placement basis to raise up to Rs35,000 crore.
     
    IFCI has approved the preferential issue of equity shares aggregating to Rs. 200 crore to the promoter i.e. Govt. of India, subject to the approval of the shareholders.
     
    Infibeam Avenues plans to acquire USA registered firm AI Fintech, Inc. The acquisition is to expand Digital Payments business in United States.
     
    The Power Transmission & Distribution Business of L&T Construction has bagged orders in India and abroad. The business has won an order to modernize the power distribution network in a subdivision of Bengaluru Metropolitan Area Zone. The business has also bagged orders to establish 220kV, 132kV Substations and 132kV cable networks in India, the Middle East and Africa. In a consortium, another order has been secured for the rehabilitation of substations and transmission lines associated with hydropower plants in Myanmar.
     
    Mahindra & Mahindra allotted 6.65% 10,000 unsecured, redeemable NCDs of Rs. 10,00,000/- each for cash at par, aggregating Rs.1,000 crores on private placement basis.
     
    ABB Power Grids has been awarded a project worth Rs.165 crore by state-owned refiner Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) to ensure reliable grid connection at its Barauni refinery in Bihar.
     
    Prakash Pipes has received all the regulatory permissions to operate its flexible packaging plant at Kashipur, Uttarakhand, which provides material for packaging of essential commodities
    .
    IRB InvIT fund’s SPVs received a communication from NHAI instructing resumption of collection of user fee at all toll plazas on National Highways w.e.f. April 20, 2020 by ensuring compliance with preventive measures.
