Vaccination against the Vaccination Evangelists
News reports say that the Centre has shut the gate on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on a critical national health mission. A possible conflict of interest, arising from the Foundation’s ‘ties’ with pharmaceutical companies, is one of the reasons. “All financial ties of the country’s apex immunisation advisory body, the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI), with the Gates Foundation have been cut off,” says a news report.

Nothing could have been better news for India’s future generations. Years ago, The Lancet, the leading medical journal of 185 years’ standing, made a detailed study of Bill Gates’ efforts in the health area and reported the results under the heading “Bill Gates—A Philanthropist or a Commercial Opportunist?” The conclusion was that he was the latter!

“Gavi (the global vaccine alliance), which pushes the vaccine agenda in India, had to face the Indian press in 2012 which reported that some 47,500 children had been paralysed as a direct result of the polio vaccination campaign that had swept through their populous country. India’s National Polio Surveillance Project found that a sharp rise in the cases of non-polio paralysis correlated with areas where doses of oral polio vaccine were also increased. Worse, children afflicted with polio vaccine-derived non-polio paralysis were at more than twice the risk of dying than with wild polio infection,” wrote Aaron Dykes, Truthstream  Media, in 2013.

In this connection, a recent issue of Time magazine caught my attention. The lengthy article was all about how President Trump’s policies on the ‘science’ of global warming and the ‘science’ of vaccination could kill this world and so on. Ever since Trump got elected, in fact, even long before that, the US media wanted him to be defeated; now to be defamed. Why do people spend so much effort and money to spread falsehoods and mystery in the name of science, to denigrate any effort to question the Western scientific establishment’s beliefs?

Al Gore’s agenda of global warming, abetted and aided by some of our scientists, is another area that needs further scrutiny. What is wrong if President Trump does not believe in the establishment science? A humble and honest scientist should be happy that there is a healthy debate in the world. Debate is good for science.

Oral polio vaccine should not be given to malnourished children, as the vaccine virus will mutate in that child’s gut and become the deadly P2-P3 variant, to produce polio in other children, spreading from the vaccinated child’s excreta! This is now reported in medical textbooks, but that is what was done in our polio campaign, some years ago. When I expressed this view at that time, I was pressurised to change my opinion by the then government—which I did not do.

Western science is only an enterprise, illogical to the core. Science is change, with every new discovery. Any humble scientist not connected with the trillion-dollar business of science should welcome any war on science, as it gives him an opportunity to convince the world that his theory is either right or needs further refining.

Science tells us that any germ infection provokes either permanent or short-lived full immunity against that particular germ infection. But there is no sound science which says that we could mimic that situation artificially by vaccination, however sophisticated that method. The establishment that has vested interest in the business of vaccination has produced enough ‘scientific’ studies, mostly epidemiological, to say that vaccinations work. To understand the dubiousness of those studies, one has only to see the wonderful work of John Ioannidis of Stanford University where he has shown that more than 95% of the establishment-funded medical science research cannot be trusted, vaccination studies included!

One very interesting feature in the US is that drugs and vaccines are directly advertised through the electronic media; the consumer can sue the drug company for any side-effect, but cannot sue the vaccine company for any vaccine damage! This is strange and smacks of vaccine companies’ pressure on the government.

Till 1950s, all drugs were mandated to be Pregnancy safe.
Then all companies paid Babus of the world and removed that clause
Hence all drugs that came out post 1950 is suspect.

I do believe in vaccination but only to a very limited extent. It should be limited to virus infections like small pox or others which have no cures. I was immunised at birth against small pox and have had a few booster shots in past 70 years. Did get infected by hepatitis, chickenpox, measles, typhoid, mumps, flu and what have you. Just a little care and own immune system took care of it each time. Haven't had the need to go to a doctor in may be past 25 years. Haven't suffered any kind of stomach ailment either. BTW I eat and drink every where. Haven't had any antibiotics either !

    Sun Yourself for Better Eyesight
It is a well-known fact that short-sightedness, or myopia, is becoming increasingly more prevalent among children. The usual culprit that is blamed is their increased computer-screen viewing. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Computer screens do not cause myopia. Researchers now have found that the true culprit is lack of exposure to sun. These days, children, even in India, do not get enough exposure to the sun. They rarely walk to school and don’t play much in the open.

To cap it, there is a global multi-billion dollar sunscreen industry that goads people to keep away from the sun as they say it might cause skin cancer. We have stopped learning science from nature. “Little do we see in nature that is ours,” cried William Wordsworth in his poem, The world is too much with us.

Rampant use of dark glasses also is bad for the eyes. Ultraviolet rays are important not just for stimulating our vitamin D3 receptors, the kingpin of our immune system, but are also vital for the retina to stimulate the pineal gland, the master of our endocrine orchestra. This is important for all our endocrine functions.

Hence, have enough and more sun for good health, both of the body and eyes in particular.

    The Superbugs Are Coming!
In 2015, the World Health Organization head, Margaret Chan, warned that we will enter “a post-antibiotic era, in which common infections will once again kill.” According to projections by the British government’s Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, by 2050 superbugs will be killing 10 million people a year, more than the deaths from cancer and diabetes combined. That is 10 times the number being killed by these infections today. In some countries, such as Nigeria, it is predicted that superbugs will be responsible for a quarter of all deaths by that year.

It is scary. The germ theory of disease and the consequent hype regarding the discovery of Penicillin made it impossible to assess the antibiotic menace. Germs are born to develop resistance against all chemical poisons in their environment, to survive. The reductionist logic of Western medicine has taken us to this bottomless pit. Our only salvation is to develop the human immune mechanism and not depend on chemicals. Antibiotics encourage bacteria to become resistant.

Ending Industry Influence in Science and Medicine
Even if we get everything else right in healthcare reform, none of our efforts will matter, unless we address the true drivers of cost and chronic disease. And among the biggest drivers of all are the complex, industry-driven government policies that promote obesity, disease as well as agricultural and environmental degradation. As reported in The New York Times, there is an insidious presence of the pharma industry in medical education, research and practice—a presence that prevents the best evidence on lifestyle medicine from becoming the standard of care. A recent review of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), which examined the basis for clinical practice guidelines for evidence-based medicine (EBM), found that only 11% of guidelines are based on firm clinical evidence; most are based on ‘expert’ opinion. Only 19% are class-I recommendations (general agreement among experts that treatment is useful or effective). These clinical practice guidelines, considered ‘best evidence’, are heavily influenced by what we have done (driven by pharma), not by what we should do (based on evidence for systems medicine). Medical device and pharma industries routinely pay consulting fees and make payments to physicians who promote their products, often without evidence of benefit, or for off-label uses. This is true in every other field where money runs the show, including politics.

    Mindless Medical Interventions
The human body is an extension of the human consciousness. The latter is what should be considered the human mind. Unlike what we have learnt and are taught, the mind is not inside the brain. The human brain, despite the billions of neurons, or nerve cells, and their connections called synapses, cannot account for the mind. The mind is not even in the body—it is all over, extending even beyond us into the universal consciousness of which we are individual parts.

The universal consciousness is that vital energy that runs this world which believers call God and scientists call consciousness. Quantum physics, which turned conventional solid state physics upside down, has an important principle—our thoughts determine reality. Early in the 1900s, scientists proved this beyond a shadow of doubt with an experiment called the double-slit experiment. This was reconfirmed recently by Dean Radin and his team in an elegant experimental series. “The results appear to be consistent with a consciousness-related interpretation of the quantum measurement problem. (2012 Physics Essays Publication - DOI: 10.4006/0836-1398-25.2.157).”

The observer’s awareness determines the behaviour of energy at the quantum level. This universe is only our perception. There is no perception without a perceiver. Similarly, all living things have their perceptions. While we have our individual universe they have theirs. So, to be precise, we live in a ‘multiverse’ and not a universe. This is well brought out in that beautiful book by Rupert Sheldrake, Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home

Consciousness is not contained within the world or matter. Consciousness contains all matter and the world. The universe is, therefore, a unified living process. It resembles a hologram. All our advances in material sciences have been external development. We need to look inside for enlightenment, which the Eastern sages and rishis had been preaching and practising for eons for peace, tranquillity and happiness for themselves and society in general. Spirituality, therefore, is just sharing and caring for others and, in the bargain, getting and giving happiness to our fellow humans.

In a special collection of articles published since 1 July 2005, Science Magazine celebrated the journal’s 125th anniversary by looking at the most compelling puzzles and questions facing scientists today. A special, free news feature in Science explores 125 big questions that face scientific inquiry over the next quarter century. Most of these questions, of course, could be answered in Eastern philosophy and in teleology. Nobel Laureate Peter Medawar, pioneer in tissue transplants, in his book, Limits of Science, asks some of those questions and answers them in his own inimitable style. He feels that science is only an enterprise, like religion, which has been designed to answer certain mundane questions, but is not able to answer esoteric questions like, “Who am I? Where have I come from? Wither am I going?” etc. He compares positive sciences to a railway engine built to run on a track but not be able to fly like an aeroplane.

Just as a host of brilliant quantum physicists had to go beyond pure materialism to understand the reality of this universe through quantum mechanics, those of us in medicine will have to go beyond our reductionist materialistic medical science. The added advantage is that understanding the mind will enable us to use the mind to heal the body, which is but an illusion of the mind. In particle-wave dichotomy, where the one changes to the other nearly 1,024 times in a second, understanding the mind gives birth to quantum healing. Just as a molecule has the blueprint of its genes, the mind has a blueprint of the body stored safely and it can remodel the body based on the mind understanding the disease process. David Wiebers, an Emeritus professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic, in his classic, The Theory of Reality, has distilled the wisdom of the progress made in this realm in the last half a century. I strongly recommend that book to readers to understand the intricacies of consciousness.

One could easily say that we (our mind) are the masters of this creation, as we alone can determine what manifests from the fields that we control. “There is highly suggestive evidence of the existence of this energetic blueprint (or human energy field) in the new research on DNA which proves that it transmits, receives, and thus reads energy directly from the field,” writes Brandon West. He continues: “If we can change our beliefs about ourselves, and thus if we can change the energy that defines our energy field, then we can change the energetic blueprint which our body aligns with as it re-materializes (after an illness) back into form 1024 times per second.” After a heart attack, if outside intervention does not happen, the heart remodels itself so beautifully.

Western medical reductionist research has almost 95% of its results as only noise, but an occasional signal that is there is missed by the mainstream medical world. Five studies are very important to prove my point above that quantum healing that occurs through our minds.

The Oxford study of real placebo, even in pain relief, the Harvard study of senior cardiologists going for their annual conference leaving seriously ill patients in their ICUs, resulting in better outcomes compared to when they were doing all kinds of interventions in such patients when they were present; death and disability rates falling when doctors went on strike in Israel and, finally, Japan with the lowest doctor-patient ratio among the 14 industrialised countries having the best health standards, lowest death and disability rates and highest longevity compared to the USA with too many doctors and specialists, should have warned us that we are barking up the wrong tree.

The RCT (randomised control trial) study of coronary revascularisation using laser beam did show that there were similar results, with or without surgery (patients were told that the operation went off very well). We did not take these serious studies into consideration to find out that the mind eventually heals and not the drugs and surgery that we use, except as an emergency quick-fix.

In reality, it is easy to think of ourselves as an energy field organising itself into a body or as pure consciousness through our bodies. Our mind is non-local and not in our brain or body, as detailed above, meaning thereby that the mind does not need the brain or body to exist. Where then IS the mind? Never Mind!
